The Wordpress development team has announced the release of Wordpress 2.8 Release Candidate 1 and is once again turning to the community (one of the best aspects of the Wordpress experience) to download and give the release candidate a try-out.

More specifically they are asking for us to report any found bugs, and if none are, then Wordpress 2.8 will be released on Wednesday the 10th.

I dunno about you guys, but I’m pretty excited for the next stable release.

If you’re interested as to what has changed since the previous beta release, you can consult the changelog here.

You can also read the official post at the Wordpress Development Blog, but it doesn’t say much more than I already have here.
