No, it isn’t a joke. Matt, the main Wordpress developer, has declared today — January 28th — “Thank a Plugin Developer” day to commemorate the fact that the Wordpress plugin directory, on this day, has surpassed 4,000 plugins.
Matt suggests you donate a bit of money to them to celebrate..
