I know most of you, at the very least some of you have seen it take place; I know I have and I’ve yet to see it discussed in any sort of length. Web Design / Development websites switching from using companies such as Google, Yahoo, Text-Link-Ads, etc to using BuySellAds.com. Not saying that BuySellAds is strictly just for Web Design / Development websites, but it seems this classification of websites have strongly embraced the some-what new advertising company. Even the websites featured on the BuySellAds website are mostly all, if not all, design & development related.

Who Are They?

BuySellAds is an advertising marketplace aimed mostly at small to medium sized websites; However, I think this is more of a welcome sign than an exclusion. They aren’t going to disapprove your website just because it’s large. I mean, who would? That’s more money for both of you. I think the larger purpose of the saying “BuySellAds.com is an advertising marketplace for small to medium sized website owners/publishers.” displayed on their about page is to give the underdogs a bit of inspiration.

What Makes Them So Special?

And, get this, everything they say is actually true! Egad!, what sort of new way for companies to tell about themselves is this!? But on a serious note, JungleJar goes on record as saying “BuySellAds.com is absolutely everything they say they are.”

I even just happened to make a blog posting about generating backlinks at http://www.junglejar.com/2008/12/29/generate-backlinks/, and I mentioned BuySellAds for purchasing backlinks (adspace). Anyway, a guy by the name of Todd, who I’ve had great customer service from in the past, took the time to make a comment on the blog posting. It’s the small things like that that really makes you feel like they are on your side. Could you even imagine a Google employee doing something like this because you recommended Adsense?

Well, we are, if you hadn’t already guessed.

As you can see, it isn’t just about design & development websites. It’s a lot to do with the quality of the website as well. The above list isn’t even the drop in the bucket as far as a list of the design related websites that use BuySellAds. It’s merely just a short sample.

So, Why Are There So Many Design & Development Websites Using Them?

Honestly, I don’t know. What I do know is that a large population is, and I believe it could have other advertising businesses rethinking things a bit. I suppose if I had to give a reason or two though, I would say it’s because it’s clean. The code, the member area on their website, the way in which the ads themselves display, the ability to customize the way the ads are displayed on your website via the code they provide, all very clean and precise. The customer service is fantastic as I established earlier in the article, and you can set the image size of the advertisement you’re willing to display to any size you wish. This is what initially got me interested in the company in the first place. Oh, and one last thing, they don’t go out of their way to advertise themselves on your website in the advertising section you have set aside for advertisers. Finally, the first company who does not do this.

In Closing..

In closing I just want all of you to know that this post is in no way to benefit me or the fact that I advertise with this particular company. The point of the post, just in case you somehow did not realize it, was to show that perhaps the vast majority of the internet websites that aren’t design & development related could learn something from those that are. Not to mention the fact that I think it’s cool and interesting the amount of actual clout or pull that this genre of websites have.
