Write With Us!
That’s right, we’re looking for new authors to help contribute quality, well written articles, maybe collaborate with us on a project, submit a template for our user base to enjoy, essentially something of interest.
What We Ask Of You
All that we really ask of you is to submit original content. This can be on an enormous range of subjects — Ajax, JS, CSS, Philosophy, General Art, Templates, Drupal.. I really would much rather leave a loose definition of what we’re after, in hopes of attracting content and ideas that we had not even thought about. And if what I just said makes any sense to you at all, you really should publish content at JungleJar with us.
My Goal
My goal is to develop JungleJar into a more well-rounded community type website. While I believe our content is strong and our user-base is constantly on the rise, I feel like it could go a lot quicker than it currently is, and as JungleJar does grow, we’re going to need a bit of help running things, organizing things, ensuring things are done on a timely manner. Fresh ideas, different skill-sets, extremely different personalities, these things are quite refreshing and keep things interesting and will be most beneficial to both of us.
What’s In It For You
Well, I suppose the most important thing, at least to start with, would be the exposure — the self-promotion. Anything you contribute to JungleJar, you would receive full credit for. If that means you would just like to write something for us all here and there, that’s fine. If you would like to join a team, that is fantastic. Because that is exactly what I’m looking for — a team.
When you have gained a bit of trust and agree to not abuse any given powers, more and more freedom will be offered to you over JungleJar and how you would like your content, perhaps your own section here on JungleJar, however you would like that to be displayed and archived.
You would, of course, have a JungleJar e-mail address setup for you, at some point an author page, and I suppose we would see from there based on your commitment.
You would also be entitled to friendly benefits such as free templates and/or mockups, domains, web space, job leads, etc. Please remember though, your content must be of quality, any code in any form, be it a CSS template, a tutorial, wherever — must adhere to the web standards set forth by the w3 committee. Correct grammar, the ability to write and express your opinion clearly, and the originality of your work will all come together and provide us with a final decision.
I’m Interested, What Do I Do?
You could do one of two things, or both things I suppose. Just go to our contact page, tell us a little about yourself, perhaps provide a few examples of your skill-set/writing abilities, or just submit an article to us and see what happens.
If your article, once again, is clear, has good grammar, is original and of quality, chances are you’ll be published the very same day. And yes, a link to your website would be given; along with your name or nickname — whichever you prefer.
